I only found out about the terrible earthquake in Japan on Sunday evening, and since then have been following the story in the media, particularly here. What a devastating tragedy it is for all those affected.

As soon as I put it down yesterday Thomas made himself at home on my backpack. He was probably liking the fact that it was all grubby and stinky, but I like to think it it was because he was happy to have me home ;-)

We saw quite a few of these sea birds on Day Five of the Whale Trail. I'm sad the hike is over, but feeling inspired to do more long walks. Perhaps the next one should be the Oystercatcher Trail?

Happy Hikers

Day Four of the Whale Trail. Today the weather was perfect and everyone was having great fun on the hike. I really enjoyed walking along the beach, swimming in the sea and exploring the rock pools.

Cliff-top Path

Today, Day Three of the Whale Trail, was a trudge along the rocky coastline. The scenery was spectacular, which kept me going even though the body was tired. Such a beautiful part of the world.
