I've avoided shopping centres for the last few weeks. But this morning I spent a few hours at Cavendish Square... I had a bit of shopping to do (and also saw a movie: Skyfall).

It was nice to have some quiet time today to relax and do some reading. I'm nearly finished The Kashmir Shawl, an old-fashioned saga, and the 70th book I've read this year. Not sure what's next... possibly The Still Point which looks very interesting,

I had a craving for cheese tonight, so I threw a bunch of cooked veggies that needed eating up into a dish, covered them in cheese sauce and baked. Yum!

Thomas the cat scratched my knee over a week ago. It was just a light scratch but it got infected and a week later it is still not better. Unsightly and sore!

Sale at a local carpet shop... my friend bought a lovely kelim. I would love to own one of these beautiful persian carpets.

The wind has been howling for three days running and annoying everybody. One of the things I hate most is how this outside gate squeaks.

Rushed lunch at my desk today: mashed avo, on crackers, with some cheddar. It was a perfect avo: creamy and delicious. I'm sad that avo season will be coming to an end soon.
~ A year ago today I went for a walk ~
I don't read many thrillers, but occasionally pick them up when I'm stressed. This week I have the read Nicci French one, and will probably read the Margie Orford soon (yes, it was a tough week).
~ A year ago today I shopped for groceries ~
I had a very frustrating day at work today. I found it helpful to look out the window and contemplate the mountain. It was a beautiful day outside.
