For the last few days I've been looking at camera specs and reviews online as Ian and John have been deciding on a new camera (and I've been 'helping'). They've opted for one of the latest generation of cameras, the mirrorless compact camera system, and today they made their purchase. It's the Sony NEX-C3. I have major camera envy... want it so badly! Maybe my next camera...

A Walk in the Mist

Cape Town weather is full of surprises! We left a still, hot and sunny city bowl to find Silvermine cool, blustery and enveloped in a damp mist. We were in thick cloud for most of the walk and saw no views to speak of. Entirely not what I expected, but fun nonetheless... an eerie landscape with fabulous flowers and strange rock formations.

I'm in the middle of reading this now (#2 in the series about Genghis Khan). I'm enjoying it - the history is interesting and the story races along.
