The Owl

Got a good sighting of the Spotted Eagle Owl at Kirstenbosch this afternoon. Such an intense stare! 
~ A year ago today I was doing some dusting ~

    I was lucky - he was on a low branch. But I'm not sure that is a smile... more of a fierce look. Made me imagine how scary it would be to be a mouse and see him looking down, ready to swoop.
