We has some visitors from Japan at this weekend's work conference and they brought us some little treats. The wasabi covered pistachios are fantastic.

Not a nut person but my hubby would have nipped these from you. haha
ReplyDeleteI keep the little packs of wasabi peas/edamame here for quick snacks. I love the little dried okra pods, zucchini, sweet/regular potatoes, carrots, grn beans, and eggplant. My fave. snacks ever!
Are those like root vegetable chips? We get them here made from sweet potato, beetroot, butternut squash. Yum! Not seen them made from green beans, zucchini or eggplant.
ReplyDeleteNot quite. It's the real veggie. We have a market here called Fresh Mkt and you can buy it by the pound mix or just the one you like. The potatoes, carrots, squash, zucchini and eggplant are sliced thin and freeze dried with a lite seasoning. I have to make myself stop eating them. Fantastic with dip too. The okra, grn. beans are dried whole
ReplyDeleteDo you know what okra is? A pod like veggie that can be eaten boiled *gag* or sliced, coated and fried *yummy*.
Of course here in the south we'd fry a shoe before we ate it. :D :D
