I've been using this scruffy old oven/mini kitchen for way longer than originally intended. And now - at last! - it's been replaced. I've moved it out of the kitchen and into the living room, and it will be gone forever soon.

I took the cover off my sofa today and got a good look at the damage underneath (one of the culprits shown above). Poor, poor sofa. Bad, bad cats!

Little Bench

Gerhard made me this small wooden bench to go in my garden, under the window. I can't decide if I should stain, varnish or paint it.

Shelves, Revisted

This weekend I finally got around to rearranging the books and ornaments on my new wall unit. I think I'm done. It has been a really successful improvement to my little flat. Now I can tackle some issues... like those flying saucer light fittings!

Open Shelves

Over the last two days my new wall unit has been installed - it's not quite finished but the filler pieces and door handles will only be done when I'm back from my holiday. I now have two new cupboards and loads of shelves for books and display. I love it!

Folding Chairs

I've been on the look-out for a couple of new folding chairs to bring out when I need extra seating and to use in my garden. I finally found some and, as they were so inexpensive, I got four! The best thing is that they're only 4cm wide when folded up, so they store away very neatly and efficiently in a corner of my bedroom. Perfect!

Sitting Room

The new cushion covers for my armchair and throw pillows for my sofa arrived today! I'm so happy with them, love the shade of green. I think my living space is calm, cosy, comfortable. Thank you Claudia for all your advice and help.
