False Bay Day

I left the house this morning (first time since Wednesday). We went down to the False Bay coast... swam at Clovelly and Simon's Town, looked at Kalk Bay Harbour, visited a friend in St. James. It was a perfect warm, still summer's day.

Walked from the Upper Cableway Station to Maclear's Beacon this morning - the highest spot on Table Mountain. Not much to see there, just a pile of rocks and a fallen down trig beacon. But great views in all directions. And it was fabulous to be outside and in the sunshine.

Dorothy and I did a bit of driving around District Six today. I had no idea that the building site that I go past every week day is so vast. It's going to be interesting to watch the development in this area over the next few years.

It was a lovely sunny afternoon... went for a stroll at one of my favourite places, Groot Constantia. Spring is so very close.

Another glorious day! Went down to Beta Beach for a dip, and wandered around Bakoven nearby. Maybe our new favourite swimming spot?!

I had a little time to kill before an appointment this morning so I went down to the beach. Love the primary colours of these old wooden bathing huts.

Simon's Town Harbour

It was a beautiful weather today. Went down to Simon's Town for a swim in the sea (cold!), followed by a seafood lunch overlooking the harbour. Great day!

Went down to Kalk Bay today, took a stroll along Main Road, popped into a few shops and had lunch at The Annex. Nice way to spend a Sunday!
