This weekend I started to use Instagram. It's easy and fun.
I've decided to take a break from posting here on Daily Helen and post there instead - maybe daily, maybe less, maybe more. We'll see. I may change my mind and come back here (but probably not).
To the two dozen or so people who click on this blog every day... thank you so much for visiting!
I hope you come visit me across on the other platform too (you'll find me here). Better still, install the app and follow me :-)
This landed on my desk today, but I was too busy to have a proper look at it. Hopefully I'll be able to give it a test drive soon - if I like it, I might buy it.

I stopped to look at a photo exhibition at my local shopping centre this afternoon. I didn't like all the images, but some were lovely. I particularly liked the forest one.
~ A year ago today I was at a concert ~
Today we had a work function at the Eagle Encounter centre at Spier. It was fascinating and I learnt a lot. Including how hard it is to photograph birds in flight!
~ A year ago today Thomas was chillin' ~
It's fun when I find photo's I'd forgotten I'd taken on my memory card. These gulls were in the park yesterday, dive-bombing us a they swooped in to grab french fries from the people standing next to us.
~ A year ago today I hopped on a ferry ~
I came home tired and grumpy today but when my cat saw me he just wanted to play. After half an hour of crazy time with the little hooligan I felt much better. Here he is, grabbing the camera strap and pulling, just as I take a photo.
~ A year ago today I swung past the gym ~
Today I had some prints done from a recent get-together and passed them on to my friends. We will remember our friend Vanessa (who passed away so suddenly last week after a short illness). V, we can hardly believe you're gone and will miss you terribly.
~ A year ago today I booked my tickets for Greece ~
My camera has been telling me my memory cards are locked when they aren't. All I'd managed to establish was that it was intermittent and that it was the camera's problem not the cards'. Thank goodness for my handy colleague - he managed to mcgyver them with little pieces of sticky tape to successfully fool the camera. Genius!
