It was a beautiful weather today. Went down to Simon's Town for a swim in the sea (cold!), followed by a seafood lunch overlooking the harbour. Great day!

We watched the fishing boats come in at the port of Rome this afternoon,. They offloaded an impressive amount and variety of seafood, most of which was quickly sold to the waiting merchants.

While I wasn't expecting the perfect weather we had last week I was surprised at how cool and windy the beach was this morning. It didn't look like very good swimming weather at all but we went in anyway and it was actually pretty nice.

I'm really enjoying my weekly swims this summer. It's well worth making an early start and getting down to the beach before the crowds and traffic get bad. Today was glorious.
